Brief Details:	This workshop is designed to help you locate free-to-use, copyright cleared images for use in teaching and learning.
Information:	If you've ever needed to find images online that you can use in your work materials then this course is for you. It will guide you to all the best places to locate free-to-use, copyright cleared images for use in teaching and learning. You'll never use Google to find images again! During this workshop, delivered by JISC Digital Media on behalf of RSC East Midlands, you will have the opportunity to: Examine the problems associated with using a search engine such as Google Learn the essentials of image copyright Discover specialist search engines for finding free to use images online Look at other resources for locating free to use images including Creative Commons licences Explore subject-based collections Take a look at the micro-stock industry JISC Advance Event Series This event is part of the JISC Advance Event Series being organised by RSC East Midlands. In the first half of 2010 we are celebrating the creation of JISC Advance with a series of free events that highlight the expertise of the eight individual JISC services that come under the JISC Advance umbrella. These events are designed to provide practical knowledge for delegates and introduce them to the services on offer from JISC Advance. We are able to offer supported learning providers subsidised places for the duration of this series only. There is a maximum of 1 place per learning provider per event.
