| Information: | Xerte is an accessible authoring tool. Accessibility features are built into the interface design so Xerte provides a means of complying with the Disability Equality Duty and Disability Discrimination Act (DED/DDA). Development by the community has created a myriad of useful features and JISC TechDis have produced some very helpful templates so you don't have to start from scratch. Delegates will have the opportunity for hands-on use of the software in order to create their own resources. JISC Advance Event Series This event is part of the JISC Advance Event Series being organised by RSC East Midlands. In the first half of 2010 we are celebrating the creation of JISC Advance with a series of free events that highlight the expertise of the eight individual JISC services that come under the JISC Advance umbrella. These events are designed to provide practical knowledge for delegates and introduce them to the services on offer from JISC Advance. We are able to offer supported learning providers subsidised places for the duration of this series only. There is a maximum of 1 place per learning provider per event. There is also a fair use policy to ensure a spread of places across individuals and organisations. For more information on JISC Advance go to www.jiscadvance.ac.uk. NORMAL PRICE OF THIS EVENT - £75 SUBSIDISED PRICE (as part of the JISC Advance Series) - FREE ![]() |
| Target Audience: | All staff within the learning and skills sector with an interest in producing accessible learning objects. No prior knowledge of authoring software is required, but some basic ICT skills would be advantageous. |
